Your ship is gone. Go and find it.

The Icarus, your exploration carrier, is ambushed beyond charted space by ships that match nothing on record. You get out in her runabout and come down hard on Ketra. Repair it, earn enough for a real ship and follow the attackers' trail to find out who took the Icarus, and why.

Get off the ground

Scan for ore, mine it, craft hull plates at a bench and patch the runabout up by hand.

Earn your keep

Haul cargo, chase bounties and answer distress calls for credits and standing with the factions.

Follow the trail

Trace the attackers' jump signature from Ketra, buy a ship that can jump, and go after them.

Land anywhere

Fly down from orbit, through the clouds and onto the ground, then take off again.

Surface
to stars

Take off from Ketra's dunes, climb to orbit and cruise sublight to a station on the far side of the system. Dock, trade, take a contract or refit, then jump to the next star once your ship has a drive for it.
