What is Icarus Galaxy?
A space exploration and survival game for PC. Your carrier, the Icarus, is ambushed by ships no one has ever recorded. You crash-land on a desert world in her runabout, repair it, earn your way into a better ship and follow the attackers' trail across the galaxy.
What can I play it on?
Windows PC. We have no plans for consoles at the moment.
When is it coming out?
There's no release date yet. Next comes the supporter build, then Early Access on Steam. The roadmap shows what's built and what's next.
How much will it cost?
We haven't set an Early Access price yet.
Is it multiplayer?
It's single-player. LAN co-op, with a friend flying as your wingmate, is planned for later.
Is it on Steam?
Not yet. A Steam page is coming, so you can wishlist it. Sign up on the home page and we'll email you when it's live.
Will there be a free demo?
No. After the supporter build, the next way to play is paid Early Access.
Who's making it?
Two indie developers in the UK, in our own time. There's no studio or publisher behind it.
Supporting
What's the supporter build?
The Helios part of the game: the opening and crash, repairing the runabout, reaching orbit, the system's planets and stations, contracts, bounties, mining and combat, up to buying the Raven. It's early and unfinished, and it gets updates until Early Access.
Is supporting a donation?
No. Every payment is a purchase. It buys the supporter build and the extra rewards for your total, so you get a receipt and your normal consumer rights.
When can I download it?
As soon as it's released, the download appears on your supporter page. We'll post on the developer blog when it lands.
Do payments add up?
Yes. Rewards go by your total, so two payments of £10 unlock the same as one of £20.
Do supporters get an advantage in the game?
No. Your name in the credits and the supporter livery are thank-yous, not advantages.
Will my saves carry over?
No. Supporter build saves won't carry over to Early Access.
What do I need to run it?
A Windows PC. We'll post full system requirements with the build, and the game picks graphics settings to suit your hardware the first time it starts.
How do I report a bug?
Press F7 in the game. It sends the report straight to us.
How do refunds work?
Use the support link on your receipt email. Link sells the build for us and handles refunds.
